We believe every child can become a confident reader.

At Literacy Lighthouse, we specialize exclusively in structured literacy for children with dyslexia. Our certified specialists use proven, multisensory techniques to help kids decode language, build fluency, and develop a genuine love of reading.

We partner closely with parents — keeping you informed, involved, and encouraged every step of the way. Because when families understand dyslexia, children thrive.

  • Science-backed instruction — grounded in the science of reading and the Orton-Gillingham approach.
  • 1-on-1 personalized sessions — no two children learn exactly the same way, and we honor that.
  • Transparent progress tracking — regular reports so you always know how your child is growing.
  • Warm, encouraging environment — we celebrate every small win as part of a bigger journey.

Common signs include difficulty rhyming, trouble matching letters to sounds, slow or labored reading, and frequent spelling errors. We offer a free consultation where we can discuss what you're observing and whether a formal assessment makes sense for your child.

Orton-Gillingham is a structured, sequential, and multisensory approach to literacy instruction. It's one of the most widely researched and recommended methods for students with dyslexia, engaging visual, auditory, and kinesthetic pathways simultaneously to reinforce learning.

Yes! We offer both in-person and fully online sessions. Our virtual format is interactive and engaging, using the same structured methods as in-person instruction. Many families find the flexibility of online learning works beautifully for their schedules.

Every child's journey is different, but many families notice improvements in confidence and fluency within 8–12 weeks of consistent sessions. We provide monthly progress reports so you can see your child's growth clearly documented along the way.

Sessions are 50 minutes and typically held 2–3 times per week for best results. Each session follows a consistent, reassuring structure that children quickly adapt to. We work with your family's schedule to find times that fit.

Some insurance plans, FSA/HSA accounts, and school district programs may cover or reimburse literacy services. We can provide documentation to support reimbursement claims and are happy to discuss financial options during your free consultation.
